ARTISTS- LIZZ

Lizz Daniels, one of the core founding members of Lighten Up, believes in the power of creativity as a tool for transformation and therefore growth. Her work organically evolves and she believes that there is inherent magic in allowing ideas and works of art to manifest without a preconcieved begining. She loves using light in its myriad of forms to reflect her interst in the illusion of reality.

There is a very childlike and playful aspect to her work and because of this she is perfect at interacting, encouraging and mediating with children in order to create.

Recycling plays an important role in Lizz's artitstic works. She is an avid fan of the KCC's Scrapstore, where she picks up masses of industrial waste that others would view as rubbish, and through a form of creative alchemy she transforms them into interesting works of Art.

She is also a talented writer, story teller and puppeteer. She has strong connections to the Amsterdam Balloon Company and is also one of the founders of the Cosy Corner Theatre Bus.
